The Medical Association of Tanzania (MAT) held a two day Annual general meeting in Dar es salaam at the Mlimani City Conference hall from 10th to 11th August, 2010. During this meeting MAT celebrated 45 its 45th anniversary. The Guest of honour was the Minister for health and Social welfare, Honourable Prof. David H. Mwakyusa. The occasion was marked by the launching of the first MAT 5 year strategic plan (2010 - 2015) and three distinguished persons were awarded with MAT fellowship for their contribution in human welfare. Elections were postponed to November 17th 2010.
