MAT 43rd & 45th Anniversary

The Medical Association of Tanzania (MAT) will be holding a two day Annual General Meeting in Dar es salaam at the Mlimani City conference hall on 10th-11th August, 2010.

During this meeting, MAT will celebrate its 45th anniversary.

The theme is “45 years of the Medical Profession in Tanzania: past, present and future”. There will be key note presentations from Medical experts focusing on the above theme.

Awards will be presented to distinguished persons who have contributed to the advancement of the profession as well as health promotion in the country.

You are cordially invited to participate in this historic event.

There will also be a general election for office bearers. Application forms for the various posts can be downloaded here.

You are requested to submit the duly filled forms at the MAT office or through the contacts below by July 29th 2010.

Please note there will be payment of fees for new members Tshs 50,000 and annual subscription fees of Tshs 50,000.

EA Healthcare and Medical Expo

The Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF) which represents the health sector board for KEPSA in conjunction with Syracuse Communications and Brand Magnets was recently involved in an East Africa Healthcare and Medical Expo that took place in Kampala, Uganda from 28th April-1st  May 2010. This expo brought together various stakeholders in the medical field from EA Countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Ethiopia and it is the only expo in East Africa specifically organized to promote medical commerce, medical tourism, the common East African markets integration and attracting medical investment.
